Aku,dia & volkswagen..

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh...
In this middle of  the night, before I start my studying, I browse about Malaysian comics.

Quite out of blue, I found this:

Whoa! This cartoon strip was a memory for me..  The old days that I was introduced to Ujang magazine, (1990s-2002, if I'm not mistaken) the magazine that I usually do not miss to read but now, really miss reading it... hehe..
I like this cartoonist masterpiece because of  the tidiness, detailed yet simple cartoon and also quite interesting storyline.Among his well known arts are Budak Hostel, Aku, Dia & Volkswagen, IN and Skoolastic. But I like most were Budak Hostel and Aku, Dia & Volkswagen. As far as I can remember, the ending is a bit hanging. Anyone know the actual ending?

The second thing is about the cartoonist. He was known as Ubi. His real name is actually Raja Ahmad Kamil bin Raja Mokhtar and was raised in Kuantan, Pahang. He started his career as cartoonist in Ujang and now he had made his move, migrated from Ujang.

So, where is he working now? :-)
He is now at here.
Still being a cartoonist but doing it online. ;-)

Till then..

Suffixes thought: Aku, Dia & CCB.. :-P

All facts about Batman...

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.....
Hello fellow bloggers! :-)

Last week, it was a hectic week. In order to ease a little bit, I turned on to my movies collection next after Transformers movies, which is Batman. I like this superhero because he is much more closer to normal human being as he has no superpower. Just the power of intellect and physical strength equipped together with detective skills and quite a number of gadgets.
So, as a fan of this guy, I've searched facts about this cartoon superhero.:-)

Batman's history
Batman made his debut in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), in a six-page story called "The Case of the Chemical Syndicate," which Bill Finger admitted was inspired by a Shadow story. It was a typical pulp murder mystery, but with all the excess verbiage removed (pulp writers were paid by the word, and it usually showed). Bob Kane's art was crammed into as many as eleven panels per page, and his style was still somewhat hesitant. "Of course the first sketches were very crude, but my drawing developed. Within six issues I elongated [Batman's] jaw, and I made the ears longer," said Kane. "I really improved fast. About a year later he was almost the full figure, my mature Batman."

Bill Finger also wrote some of the early Batman stories. In doing so, he created the personality of Batman and turned him into a great detective. "My idea was to have Batman be a combination of Douglas Fairbanks, Sherlock Holmes, The Shadow, and Doc Savage as well."

Finger went on to give Batmans alter ego the name of Bruce Wayne, and later named his sidekick Robin (Dick Grayson). He named Batmans hometown Gotham City, and contributed in the creation of many of Batmans villains. The Cat-woman, Penguin, Riddler, Two-Face, and Clay-Face were among them. While Bill Finger didn't create the Joker, he did write the first Joker issue in Batman #1.
